Hi, I’m Iva Hall, the owner of Twisted Ivy Designs!

Over 30 years ago, my mom took me to a floral design class and I was immediately hooked! I attended classes for over 10 years and learned from a wonderful teacher and designer.

Since then, I’ve been helping friends & family decorate their homes for the holidays, design their wedding flowers, and choose decor for their homes. In the Fall of 2023, after losing my paralegal job of 28 years, a retail space became available in Ashland. My husband and I said “let’s do this!” and I opened a brick and mortar storefront. After a year at that little location, we’ve grown and expanded, making it necessary to move to a bigger space. It’s been an exciting adventure and I can’t thank Jeff enough for helping me make this dream a reality!

How did I come up with the name for my business? Well, I knew I wanted the name to reflect what I do and who I am. So flowers are my passion, and the nickname of “Ivy” came from my favorite aunt (and godmother) Sally Robertson. She made a doll for me years ago and she named her “Sunshine Ivy”. My doll wore a little straw hat and carried a basket of flowers that she was selling. I used to sell my floral creations at local shows with my aunt and my cousins. We lost my beloved Aunt Sally many years ago, so in honor of her, I decided “Twisted Ivy” was a perfect name for my business.

I also offer floral classes, and I have a few artist friends who come in and share their creative talents with my customers. We host classes for floral design, cookie decorating, jewelry design, charcuterie boards, various crafts + more! Stay tuned for more details on continued classes at the shop!

I’m building a wonderful, fun, caring and energetic customer base. I’m so appreciate of my regular customers and love all the new people I meet every day at Twisted Ivy!
